3rd: On Thursday October 15th, Acadian’s 3rd Graders went on a field trip to The United Methodist Pumpkin Patch in Thibodaux. Our very own Skylar Cressoine writes, “Today was great! It was very fun. My mom came! I picked a small pumpkin. My pumpkin has a whole bunch of seeds.” The pumpkins will allow us to complete various activities involving all of our core subjects. We are also proud to say that we have met our AR and AM goals for the 1st Nine Weeks, and we will keep reaching higher. 4th:Fourth graders are working hard reaching their weekly reading and math goals on the accelerated computer programs. Parents, please make sure that your child is studying for tests and doing their homework every night. As you know, in fourth grade it is their responsibility to pack their school bags with everything that they need to work with at home. Tutoring for LEAP remediation will start on Oct. 28 for the students receiving a letter from the office. LEAP practice work for all students will continue to be reviewed in their regular classes prior to the test. The LEAP test will be given in the spring.
We would like to give a BIG thank you to ALL the parents who came to our SACS interview. Acadian is once again the ONLY elementary school in Terrebonne Parish to have earned SACS accreditation!
Please review C.L.A.W.S. with your child! Cultivate Respect Learn Everyday Accept Responsibility Work Together Safety Matters
