Text Box: K: The Kindergarten students enjoyed learning about their 5 senses. They had a great time at their tasting party. The Kindergarten students were also very busy learning their new sounds, letters, and sight words. The students were also busy in math centers learning to classify, sort, and make patterns. The Kindergarten teachers would like to thank those parents who have helped to donate treats to snack on as well as treats to help us learn. Your support is greatly appreciated!! The Kindergarten teachers would like to remind the parents how important it is to flash sight words to your child as well as read the weekly story in your child’s brown envelopes. Kindergarten teachers are looking for donations of shaving cream, colored hair gel, play-doh, salt, and trinkets for our treasure chest. These supplies are needed to enhance our centers with hands-on learning. Thanks for all that you do for us!!!! 3rd:The 3rd Grade classes are off to a good start this school year! We have leaped with full force into Learning Everyday. Ms. Barrios shared that her class has done Science experiments, one of which involved evaporation of water. For one week, they watched everyday as the water changed into a gas. Ms. Neil and Mrs. Parfait’s classes are creating beautiful cards and writing letters to Hospice patients. We can feel it in the air, this year is going to be filled with rigor and relevance. This year Tuned In menus transitioned to a web based product only. They are no longer sending a paper menu. To see what Acadian will be having for lunch please visit the website: www.schoolmenu.com Acadian Night at the Hornets Game – November 25th – day before Thanksgiving. Tickets will be sold at Acadian. We have 100 reserved and they will be sold on a first come first serve basis. We will all be seated together in a reserved section. Of those participating, students selected for CLAWS behavior will be allowed to high five Hornets Players at Pre Game. If we sell a certain number of tickets, our choir will get to sing the National Anthem.
