Philosophy of Education
Each student is an individual who, as part of the whole group, has an
inherent right to be educated.
Along with this comes a student and parent responsibility to respect one and
the rights and beliefs of others, do develop self-discipline, and to make
sound decisions.
Though the curriculum is
predetermined at the state and/or parish level, each teacher applies special
talents in developing a course of study that best meets the individual needs
of each student.
Appreciation for the arts is encouraged through art, music, library
instruction, and theater. Each
student is also encouraged to participate in community sponsored activities.
Awareness of a mobile, culturally diverse community provides the teacher
with a broader knowledge of each student.
Through parents and faculty members the community offers the support
needed for the school programs.
A cooperative spirit between parents, community, and school contributes to a
wholesome, drug-free environment.
A well rounded curriculum offers each student many avenues to follow
according to individual abilities and talents.
