9th Grade Football Results

 

 

Evergreen 33    Vandebilt 8

 Last night the Eagles continued their winning ways by defeating Vandebilt 33-8.  The Eagles were led by Tylone Johnson’s 108 yards rushing and 2 touchdowns and Michael Flakes’ 75 yards rushing and 2 touchdowns.  Also scoring were Marlin Bonvillain with a touchdown and 2 point conversion and an extra point conversion by James Olin.  Chris Harris also contributed with 56 yards passing and 20 yards rushing.

Defensively the Eagles were led by Davante Dickerson’s 2 forced fumbles and quarterback sack, and Kenneth Ellis’ 15 tackles and 2 fumble recoveries.  Also contributing on defense were Trey Naquin and Benton McDonald each with 1 quarterback sack.

 The Eagles thank all who came out to support the team and invite you all to our next home game against South Terrebonne on next Wed. at HLB.  Game time is at 5 p.m.

 

EVERGREEN DEFEATS SOUTH LAFOURCHE

 

The Eagle’s Freshmen football team defeated the South Lafourche Tarpons by a score of 29 to 8 last night at Tom B. Smith stadium.  Scoring for the Eagles were Jordan McKay with two touchdowns, Tylone Johnson with one touchdown, and David Pontif on a pass reception from Chris Harris.  Michael Flakes scored two 2pt. conversions and James Olin kicked an extra point. 

The Eagle’s offensive line played well all night lead by Benton McDonald, Dashon Livas, Joshua Ancar, Brett Rome, Zackery Lajaunie, David Pontif, and Caleb Dupre.

Leading the charge on defense was Kenneth Ellis with two quarterback sacks, and Harold Johnson with two interceptions.

The team will play Vandebilt next Wednesday at Vandebilt stadium.  Game time is 6:00.
