Principal's Message
Thank
you to the student body for their spirit and optimism shown
at school this year. Our football team is off to an
incredible start and our other sports teams are also doing
well.
Our campaign to clean up the campus has been doing very well.
Early in the year, I had received several phone calls from
parents who were disturbed to see all of the paper on the
ground. That has been addressed and things are looking
much better.
Dress code compliance has been relatively good. There
are still a few who push the limits and do not wear their
shirts tucked or they choose to wear their "piercings" which
are not allowed by school board policy. But 95% of the
student body is using the Nike Slogan, "Just Do It" and it
makes our jobs much easier and much more pleasant. Keep up
the good work.
We had a great homecoming bazaar, and a great game
on Friday (the largest crowd in many years). The homecoming
dance was memorable. It was the most students we have
had at a dance since I have been principal and the student
body was very well behaved. We had one small incident and
that was taken care of before anyone got into serious
trouble. As students exited the gym, the comments were
that everyone had a great time.
The games hosted by the Student Council during Homecoming week were also
a huge success. These are the kinds of activities that make
coming to school fun for everyone.
Also, the faculty grudge match volleyball game was a huge
success, even the part when I fell and rolled on the floor.
I am reviewing film as we speak to see who was laughing.
I think it was just about everyone there and "yes" I am
still hurting.
Students, the grades are good because of the positive start
and the hard work put in by you. This hard work will
pay big dividends in the end. I urge you to keep up
the good work.
A great big thank you goes out to the faculty. You
cannot imagine the amount of pressure and the amount of work
that is being required of the teachers. I applaud their
efforts and look forward to making sure each and everyone in
the school will be successful in their endeavors this year.
My door is open. If you have a concern or an issue I
can help you with, come in and see me.
Keep up the good work!
Mr. Delcambre
