THS Class 1961
The Terrebonne High School Class of 1961 met at
THS on June 11th, 2011 to celebrate its 50th
anniversary. The members of the class of 1961
were greeted by members of the THS Student
Council. Congratulations Class of 1961!
Fellow Terrebonne High School Graduate,
We are sending you an application to join the Official Terrebonne High School Alumni Association. Most of us who graduated from Terrebonne High School are not even aware that this organization exists. Although it was formed in 1986, there was not much information available to us.
As a lot of you know, Linda Knight Theriot and I have created a Facebook page to try to gather information to start a membership drive to expand the alumni association. We have been appointed Membership Co-Chairpersons of the Association and are very excited to help. We have learned that this group of people is working together with Terrebonne High School to use these membership dues to help promote not only higher education with scholarships but projects to help teachers and other school organizations that have been cut due to the economic situation. It seems that not only locally but state wide- education has been hurt by numerous cuts. We think that the Alumni Association is ready to work hard to expand membership and broaden the scope of helping the school we hold dear to our hearts.
It is almost impossible to believe that considering THS has been around for over 100 years, the alumni association’s membership is under 200. We are all proud to say that we graduated from this prestigious school, one of the oldest high schools in the State of Louisiana. We are hoping everyone will consider becoming a member. If you choose not to join the association, we still want you to fill out and return the attached form with your information so that you can be added to our roll call list.
Ten dollars a year is all it will cost for you to participate in this worthy cause. There are a number of lifetime membership levels that will get us out of your hair forever
