MS. ADRIANNA DUPRE: THS TEACHER OF THE YEAR
THS congratulates
the Teacher of the Year, Ms. Adrianna Dupre.
The Teacher of the Year Awards Program is
required by the state. Teachers of the Year
candidates must teach at the school they
represent during the school session. Nominees
must be certified teachers who “have full state
certification as a classroom teacher and not
have certification or licensure requirements
waived on an emergency, temporary, or
provisional basis."
Ms. Adrianna Dupre teaches Honors Chemistry and
Chemistry II. Ms. Dupre has a strong work ethic
and has had a positive influence on her
students. Her inspirational abilities have made
a difference in our science department. She also
led the science department to win first place in
the Terrebonne Parish Science Project District
Competition.
Ms. Dupre has demonstrated a great attitude and
aptitude as teacher.
Her
expertise and enthusiasm has made a difference
at
Terrebonne
High School.
She
is highly respected by the staff and is a leader
in our school. She has worked diligently in
assisting teachers to improve in technology.

MR. GRAHAM DOUGLAS IS SECONDARY PRINCIPAL OF THE
YEAR
Principals and Instructional Staff nominated
candidates for the Principal of the Year
Program. The selection process is dictated by
the state and a given set of criteria was used
by the selection committee. Mr.
Graham Douglas was selected Secondary
School Principal of the Year.
This
year, Terrebonne High School surpassed its required SPS
target of 91.3 for the 2009-2010 school year.
Terrebonne High School’s 2008-2009 baseline SPS score
of 84.5 was improved to an SPS of 93.1. This is
an increase of 8.6 points! This newly attained
SPS score surpassed the state’s set goal by 1.8
points.
Mr.
Graham Douglas is a life-long resident of
Terrebonne Parish. He is married to the former
Sybil Picou and they have two children, Graham
Ronaldo and Asa Douglas. He is a graduate of
Terrebonne
High School,
Grambling
State University, and Nicholls State University. Mr. Douglas is in his eighth
year as principal of Terrebonne
High School.
