ENGLISH IV (Prerequisite
English III)
This is a regular English
course that reviews and extends the composition,
research paper, grammar/usage, and literature
instruction of the preceding English course, as
indicated by student needs.
BUSINESS ENGLISH
(Prerequisites English III and
Keyboarding/Keyboarding or Applications
Introduction to Business Computer Applications)
This course is designed to
provide students with communication skills
needed in a business environment. Business
letter writing including routine letters as well
as specialized letters, memos, and reports are
an important component of the course. The
practical principles of grammar, punctuation,
and vocabulary needed in business transactions
are included. Oral, listening, and nonverbal
communication skills as
they relate to business
are stressed. Emphasis is also given to
communications as related to technological
advancements such as information management and
telecommunications.
