"PBIS” stands for Positive
Behavioral Intervention and Support. This
concept originated with the Individuals with
Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
PBIS is based on principles of applied behavior
analysis and the prevention approach and values
of positive behavior support.
Terrebonne High School is
committed in adapting a framework for assisting
school personnel in adopting and organizing
evidence-based behavioral interventions into an
integrated continuum that enhances academic and
social behavior outcomes for all students.
The PBIS program is a prevention-oriented way
for school personnel to (a) organize
evidence-based practices, (b) improve their
implementation of those practices, and (c)
maximize academic and social behavior outcomes
for students.
The
PBIS program at Terrebonne High School supports
the success of all its students. |
PBIS "A AND AB HONOR ROLL CELEBRATION":
The PBIS Committee is
promoting the PBIS "A and AB Honor Roll
Celebration" at the end of each grading
period. Students who have earned A and AB Honor
Roll at the end of each grading period will
receive prizes and treats (chocolate bars,
nachos & cheese). In order to qualify for Honor
Roll, students must earn an A or B in academics
and conduct at the end of each grading period.
